When wearing a formal suit, it is recommended that you follow the classic white shirt with black suit jacket and black tie or bow tie fit, but this may vary depending on the nature of the occasion.

For women, it is common to wear a more slim tailored fit with light colours, though this is ultimately up to your personal preference.
