For women, it is common to wear a more slim tailored fit with light colours, though this is ultimately up to your personal preference.

Although it does depend on your styling choice, navy blue suits are a versatile look that play between the boundaries of formal and semi-formal. For night-time events, a darker navy is a solid choice, while daytime events allow you to go lighter in colour.
